Healthcare Delivery

Every year, millions of people die because of low-quality healthcare, or from lack of vaccines and timely diagnostics. The WHO estimates a critical shortage of healthcare workers in developing countries, where quality healthcare is needed most. Private sector partnerships can accelerate progress toward closing the healthcare equity gap for those who need it most.
Our healthcare delivery investments focus on innovations that deliver affordable, quality health care in South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. These include primary care, modern contraceptives, critical vaccines, diagnostics, devices, therapeutics, health-tech platforms, and healthcare ecosystem innovations, with a strategic focus on maternal, newborn, and child health; women’s and girls’ health; and specific infectious diseases with high prevalence in developing countries, such as HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria.
