Advancing In Vivo Gene Editing for Sickle Cell Disease and HIV
Tessera Therapeutics, a Cambridge, Massachusetts–based biotechnology company, is developing an in vivo gene editing platform using an all-RNA approach to target hematopoietic stem cells, with the goal of enabling direct, durable genetic modification without the need for ex vivo cell manipulation. The Foundation’s investment accelerates development of a Phase 1-ready sickle cell disease candidate and supports early-stage research in HIV.
