Sandeep is a Senior Advisor and Investment Committee Member at Avaana Capital, India’s leading early-stage climate action and sustainability fund. He is a Board Member of Titan Company Limited, chairs the Risk Management Committee and is a member of the Audit and Nomination & Remuneration Committees. He is on the board of HT Media, India’s largest listed media company. Sandeep is also an independent investment committee member of the Mars Equity Dragon Fund and a Governing Council Member of Marico Innovation Foundation. He is a Board Member and leads healthcare philanthropy at ACT Grants, a platform to accelerate the deployment of innovative digital solutions in the public domain in India. The focus in public health is in the areas of Tuberculosis, Oncology, Mental Health and Rural Access.

Sandeep has 35 years of experience across venture capital, entrepreneurship, and management consulting. He co-founded Nexus Venture Partners in 2006 and grew it to $1.5B of AUM, was a General Partner till 2021, and is now a Senior Advisor. Prior to Nexus, he co-founded eVentures India in 1999. eVentures was one of the earliest Indian VCs and backed market leaders like MakeMyTrip, NTT NetMagic Solutions and Firstsource/CustomerAsset.

Sandeep received an MBA (with Distinction) from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a dual Major in Finance and Marketing, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Tau Beta Pi. He is the past President of the Stanford Alumni Association of India and a Stanford Associate.
